Recycling
S&T is the place to bring your clearing, construction and asphalt debris, where we offer safe waste collection and disposal to keep your job sites running smoothly. Protecting the environment is important to us, so we do our part to keep production needs down by recycling most products that the construction industry creates.
We charge by the load from a single axle up to a one-ton truck load when you drop it off. We separate the waste and in turn, offer recycled products for re-sale such as bricks, concrete, masonry materials, soil, rock, land clearing debris and asphalt.
If you have the need for crushed stone, top soil/fill dirt by the ton, we can deliver or you can pick it up. We also sell mulch by the cubic yard to accommodate your landscaping needs.

Residential and Commercial Excavation
We can also perform any excavating enterprises that you may have from start to finish. This includes stabilizing the slope, which reinforces it to better retain and anchor the soil. This will prevent it from sliding. You may need a basement excavation where we will dig, rough out and establish the area for a future basement of the house.
We are also experienced in pool, utility excavation for the purpose of installing of Water, Sewer and Drain lines to prepare a site for utilities. This includes storm water drainage and retention, erosion control, water mains, sewer construction and repair. We can handle all of your underground utility requirements.
Root systems and Tree stumps must also be dealt with when building or landscaping. If left to grow, they will damage sidewalks, driveways, foundations, and fences. Not to mention, exposed roots can damage lawnmowers and other yard equipment. We offer affordable Stump removal by grinding which is a surgical approach to remove unwanted stumps on your property without destruction to existing foliage and landscaping.
Residential and Commercial Grading
S&T can handle all of your development projects from start to finish, whether you need “rough grading” by our scrapers or bulldozers, or “precision grading” which is a more refining or “finish” grade that is performed after the rough grading. We are also experienced in land clearing and we will haul off any general waste generated by logs, trees, and brush or demolition material at any site in preparation for land improvement or construction projects.
Once the grading is finished, you may need the site sloped by creating a surface drainage by grading an area so that water collects and flows to a lower elevation away from the site. This is going to prevent erosion, and in addition, we can create a physical barrier, such as vegetation or rock, to absorb some of the energy of the wind or water that is causing the erosion. You may need storm water management which will intercept storm or rain water that runs off streets, lawns, and other sites. It must be collected in piped networks and transported off site, either directly to a stream, river, storm water basin, or a sewer system. We can also build you a retention pond to capture diverted storm water runoff as they retain it before releasing it into streams. They release the water at flow rates and frequencies similar to those that existed under natural conditions.
We also offer our assistance in compacting control-filled areas to develop a foundational support, pavement base, conduit or pipe bedding that fills the tight spaces in the structure of soil. Retaining walls are structures designed to hold soil to unnatural slopes, as soils are bound between two different elevations. We build these to reshape the landscape, enabling it to be engineered for more specific purposes like hillside farming or roadway overpasses.
S&T has soil, sand and aggregate spreading which can be used with highly compacted mixtures of soil/aggregate, cement, and water. It is widely used as a low-cost pavement base for roads, residential streets, parking areas, airports, shoulders, and materials-handling and storage areas. Soil compaction is the process in which a stress applied to a soil makes the air dense so that it can be displaced from the pores between the soil grains.
